Weston's california birthday

Weston celebrated his birthday while we were in california. He has kind of never had a "real" birthday party, because it seems like his birthday always seems sneeks up on me after we have moved...which we seem to do a lot of. :o)

So that is why we decided to celebrate his birthday with family in california. And we decided to do a theme of angry birds. So his sign said Happy birds day. He loved it!

I made some angry birds and pigs out of yarn and put some eyes and pther features on them.I think they turned out good.
Kambria and Madalyn showing off the pom poms.

There was a swing in the rental house. And Kambria and Madalyn ahd a BLAST swinging on it. We had to tie it up a couple of times so that people and other children...namely Ainsley, would not get hurt.
WE played pin the beak onthe bird for one of the games...Here is Weston with all the results.
The first present was from Grandma and Grandpa. It was Magnetics. He was THRILLED would be an understatement.

Showing us what he got.

And telling grandpa and grandma thank you...

This is the thank you for Uncle Scott...and Jacquelyn for their gift of a Mater flying car.
And Weston saying thanks to Erik and Lisa for his baseball glove and ball

And Layna had to give him a hug to say thanks too! They are SO cute together!!!

Technically it was actually Grandma's birthday that night so we gave her some gifts too...Scott and Jacquelyn gave her some new stretchy exercise pants and pretty earrings...Layna thought they were OOOHHH pretty!

And here we are singing her happy birthday!
And here is the video of uis singin to Weston.

Day at the beach, day 3

We spent tuesday at the beach.
Here is grandma and Weston taking in the sun.

Weston is shwoing Ainsley how it is done. Such a good big brother.
She figured it all out and had a blast with all the digging...and eating of sand.
Eric got to bury all the kids in the sand. Ainsley was even willing to participate.
And then soon after, she FINALLY fell asleep with me holding her and putting a towel on her to block the sun.
The kids found a big water hole and were jumping into it like a swimming pool. THey were all trying to be "the boss" of it. It was wuite fun to hear all the commotion from a distance.

Some even did some wake boarding. Kambria and Madalyn were the best!

Warning This post is going to be LONG...
DISNEYLAND!!!
WE had a very early morning trying to get everyone ready and up and breakfast eating and on the shuttle at 7:15 to be to Disneyland by 8. We cut it close to catch the shuttle and so they had to send another one especially for us. so we got there a little later than we had hoped but it urned out great!

WE entered and of course had to get the epic picture in front of the castle! Scott and Jacqueline decided not to go to Disneyland, due to an unexpected accident that they will have to shall out some money for. But I made all of our T-shirts to match way back in March/April time when I was excited to do all of the planning, and good thing too, so that they all got done before we moved. It was a hit. WE got a lot of comments like oh so cute, and way to go on getting the guys to wear the matching shirts. But I have to tell you that it was VERY easy to spot someone from our group when we got separated. I would definitely do the shirts matching again!!!

The first ride we did was the merry go round.
It was a good warm up for the rest of the rides for the day.
Kambria and Madalyn...

Daddy and Weston

Grandma and Layna

Ainsley not sure about the whole thing.

Ainsley and Kambria can hardly wait for the next ride...of Dumbo

Walking to the next ride with the grandparents

Weston had to make sure to get his picture in all the toon town cars!
The group of kids with Mickey..and me holding Ainsley, who was not sure of it all.

Our family in another toon town car!

The kids with Cinderella...and Bryan and MaryEllen of course.
The kids with Goofy...Eric being the body guard...just in case :o)
We had to ride the cars the kids could drive. Kambria, Madalyn and Weston all in the driver seats!
 With Aladin
Weston climbing the rope at Tarzan's tree house
Kambria climbing it. She eventually made it to the top!

Self Portrait in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Ainsley waving from the line for the train.

The epic family picture...Minnie Mouse
This is what Disneyland produced... A VERY tired baby girl! She was EXHAUSTED by the time we got her to bed around midnight.
The trip was fun and many memories made. If I were to do it again, I would make it at least a three day event to get the most in for your money. But one day was fun and hopefully these pictures tell it.

California day 1 and 2

So I am going to try and tell all about our week trip to CA.
It started out by driving to Nashville and saying our final goodbye to our home. We gave the the keys and other garage door opener to our friend the Olivas'. We are happy that it is going to someone who will love the home as much as we did. Then we got on a plane and took the almost 5 hour plane ride to CA. The kids really did good considering. Bryan had Kambria and Weston and I had Ainsley...except for a few minutes, and for the pictures.

On the plane...

Once we got to the hotel, and got our things settled and said hello to the rest of the fam, we all headed to take a walk down downtown Disney. We saw some pretty amazing art made from Lego's.
Here is woody and buzz.

Here is a cool dragon firing at the "prince"

Grandma walking with 4 of the grand kids with popcorn that Grandpa bought!

Here Ainsley is trying on her ears, she is all smiles in getting ready for Disneyland in 2 days.

Sunday we went to church and when we came home, all the kids took a little rest with grandma on the hotel bed. It of course involved playing on Grandmas nook...the things we convince kids to do.

After our short nap and lunch, we decided to head to Huntington beach. They had a competition there that day and it was BUSY!!!
But we tried to make the most of it and this was the first time my kids had seen the ocean! Kambria and Weston were in HEAVEN!!! Sand and water and mom did not care if they got dirty.

Ainsley was a little timid at first and needed some help from Grandma and mom...
with Grandpa documenting it all!

Scott helped Weston by "throwing" him in...although he didn't really.

All smiles after realizing he was "safe"

Kambria found a hole and started building her sand castle.

Then Weston and Madalyn decided to help...however it was a little too close to the tide and did not last long.

Ainsley liked playing in the sand too
We had a long walk back to our cars, and then headed for the hotel for some idnner and early night in anticipation for DISNEYLAND the next day...

our little cutie

This is what our little Ainsley is doing as of lately. She is talking up a storm. I feel like I have been neglecting her photos and videos of her doing the things we will soon forget. So here are her "tricks". She jabbers ALL THE TIME!! Literally all the time. There is not even a time in the car she is not cooing herself to sleep or just jabber and talking away. It almost gets annoying in the car after a while... :)

And she can sign thank you, please, so big, more, bye bye, and she can blow kisses. We are having so much fun watching her become her self. It truly is amazing.

some news

Man time flies by when you are busy. I have a lot to catch up on, but that will have to wait. Long story short. Bryan was recruited for a new job, he accepted the new job and we have sold our home and have to move in 2 weeks...and all this has happened in a matter of 6 weeks!!!!! My life is in chaos right now. But since everything has happened all so fast, that must mean the Lord needs us elsewhere. And that elsewhere is in Lexington, KY! Yep. Kentucky. My sister think it is a bunch of rednecks there...well we will have to see. And she is welcome to come visit to see for herself too! :o) although she might have to sleep on the couch...more on that in a minute.

We originally were going to buy a home in Lexington, but have decided that we need to rent first to get to know the areas better and so with renting with have decided to downsize so we can save money and then have a bigger down payment in a year. Hopefully it all works out the way we want. I have no doubt the Lord will be watching over us. So we have found a little rental to live in...so we are going from almost 2500 sq ft to 1300 sq ft! A LOT of our things will be going into to the garage packed away in boxes. But hey...this will be our 11th move in almost 8 yrs of marriage. So we know the drill!

It will all be good. Bryan's job will be great and he will not have the commute of 45 minutes like he had here...he might even be able to take a lunch at home every once in a while! And he will be his own manager in his own clinic. It will be great. I have high hopes. :o) So if you don't hear from me for a while, (not like you have anyways) you will know that I am busily packing and packing some more and then moving and moving some more and then unpacking and unpacking some more! So I will hopefully sometime in the near future get back to writing my blog a little bit more.
