Kambria's Big Announcment

Kambria had some exciting news to share with the family today. Although she didn't have a clue what all the excitment was about, she still wore her new shirt her mom and dad made her with a smile! I'm sure she will understand a bit more come August 13th... give or take a few.

18 months!! Wow

So yesterday Kambria got to spend the whole 2 ours in Nursery! YEAH!!! I got to actually listen to the lessons again. She did not even notice I was gone. i checked in on her through the window after the first hour, but she was having snack time and was doing great! I guess she realized I was gone the last 5 minutes of nursery when a parent came to get their child and I was not there to take Kambria...So she screamed for the last 5 minutes. But I was so proud of her!!!

And she is doing great with this potty thing. I have to say I feel like I am being potty trained more than her right now. In fact my mother watched her last night while I went to stake choir practice and she said that half way through her bottle of milk she looked very worried and took my mom's hand and led her to the bathroom so she could go potty and n top of that her diaper was dry! My mother was so impressed so I guess I am too!!! Such a big girl!

Big girl!! POTTY TIME!

So this is a little brag session. Kambria turns 18 months tomorrow and she has already gone pee- pee in the potty! I do have to say that some of this credit, ok most of it, has to go to my mother! She noticed that Kambria had shown interest in the potty and so she bought her a little "pooh" potty that has Winnie the Pooh on the back of it! And Kambria has gone potty in it already!!! she loves to sit on it and play in the water that we have for her to put her feet in...it helps her recognize that pee feeling... and so for now it is more of a game, but none the less it is a start! I am so proud of my little girl!

A slacker!

So I have been a blogging slacker for the past two months...and now I have people reminding me that I need to get back in the habit...Yes i know I need to if for none other reason than for me to have it for myself. And of course because you all want to know what is going on too right? I hope so.
So the past couple of months have thus far been pretty uneventful. We went through the holidays and Bryan's birthday and the super bowl and just kept trucking along.

Then before I know it it is already Valentine's day!!! So for valentine's day we have a tradition that Bryan and I started while we were dating...Fondue!
We have a couple of friends come over and we do a fondue dinner night. We do the cheese first, then the meat and then the dessert, which is of course the chocolate! The first year, Bryan set it up as a surprise with me and my roommate and her boyfriend Jason, who is now her husband too. The second year we decided to do it with Shelby and Travis. The third year was with my parents and sister, and this year we did it with our new friends Faun and Nephi.

So it was a lot of fun. As far as gifts go...we decided to get each other professional massages. So at some point we will go and have a massages for a half hour or so. Can't wait! So that is it for now. I will try to do better about the posting now! I promise!

A long time...

So I have to say that I am sorry to all of you who have waited so patiently for me to post something...it has been almost a month!!! The holidays were CRAZY for me and trying to find time enough to post anything was impossible for me...but I am back and hope to be having enough time to post on a more regular basis...

I will give a quick update on how Christmas went...

Christmas Eve is always at my parents house..so Nelson, Leah, Hayden, Chloe and Ella all came over and we celebrated...we were only missing Colin...he is still on his mission in Argentina! We opened presents and had a grand time...I LOVED having little babies around again...

Then on Christmas morning we did our traditional sit on the stairs and say a prayer of thanksgiving for all we have!!! We could hardly finish saying the prayer before Kambria was RUSHING into the front room because she saw what Santa had left her...a new little kitchen. We had to hold her back to get the camera ready. Bryan and I were THRILLED to see how excited she was. That was all I needed...Bryan and I had our stocking to "open" and that was it...since we gave each other the car for our Christmas this year!

Then we got to hear from Colin. That was a lot of fun to hear how things are going and ear how much he is truly enjoying the work! i did not know what to say to him..so I did not say much...but I want him to know how much I love and respect him.

Then right after that we left for Fort Collins to see G & G Fairbanks! We also got to see Scott and Jacqueline and later that night Lisa and Erik flew in too! We spent about 5 days up in fort Collins and Kambria and Madalyn got to be really good friends! It was fun to see the girls playing with each other! I cant wait to have another child so Kambria can play with them...

Christmas card

Dear Family and Friends,

We hope this Christmas season is treating you all well. We can hardly believe another year has flown by so we would like to share with all of you some of the things that our family has experienced this year.

First things first…Kambria had her first birthday! We had a lot of fun taking pictures of her with her own chocolate cake. This is a tradition on Eliza’s side of the family to give the one year old their very own chocolate cake and see what they do with it. She devoured both cakes that she had…one at the Fairbanks’ and one at the Lamprecht’s. Two is always better than one right?! She is growing up so fast that it is hard to believe she is almost 16 months old! We have truly been blessed by having her in our family. She is quite the little smarty-pants too! She discovers new talents everyday. She can say kitty, doggy, up, vroom-vroom, “oo” for cold, her own version of hot with blowing noises and all and many more words that slip my mind currently. She has learned how to say “no, no, no,” while shaking her finger at things, as well as understands most EVERYTHING you say or tell her to do. Although she doesn’t always obey everything you tell her!! She like to play the “come and get me game,” when she is doing something she knows she is not supposed to do. She LOVES to dance, play the piano, sing and lead music in church. Do you think she will be a musical person? We sure hope so!

Bryan has been busy this year too. We moved from Fort Collins to Denver so that Bryan could get a job and do some volunteer hours for a prosthetics clinic so that he could apply to graduate school. He found a job at Allosource where he worked as a tissue banker. We all jokingly called him the bone scraper! ;o) If you don’t know what tissue banking is, have him tell you about it sometime. Well after 8 months of working, volunteering, and waiting, Bryan FINALLY was accepted to both schools he applied at; Northwestern University and California State Dominguez Hills. He chose to go to Northwestern University in Chicago. He quit working the last week in October and started school November 5. He is dedicated! He is doing the first section of his schooling online, while he is still volunteering/ learning from the prosthetic clinic here in Denver. Then sometime this next April we will move to Chicago so he can finish the schooling portion on-site in Chicago and then he will have to find a place to do a year of residency. So we will move again. But we like change and he has worked very hard to get where he is at and we are all VERY proud of his accomplishments thus far! Some family news from Bryan’s side of the family is that his brother Scott was married to his high school sweet heart Jacqueline, and his sister Lisa and brother in law Erik, had their first child Madalyn.

I LOVE being a stay at home mom and we are very fortunate to have me home right now. We are living in my parents’ basement to allow me to stay home, rather than having to work to pay for an apartment. It worked out nicely when my little brother Colin left to go on his mission to Argentina so that we could have the basement. Thanks little bro! ;o) So it has worked out nicely, and we are grateful to have this opportunity. My brother Brady even decided to come live at home for a little while too so it has been a party here back at mom’s house. There are days when being home all day with Kambria are more fun than others, but for the most part I enjoy playing with her and seeing her learning curve increase dramatically. I watched a little girl for a couple of months until she found a regular babysitter, which was fun but at times overwhelming. My heart goes out to those with multiples. This brings me to the exciting news of Nelson, my brother, and his wife Leah, having a set of twins. So now Hayden is a big brother! The twins are two very cute girls named Chloe and Ella. They are a gift from heaven and are a blessing to us all.

Some of the travels that we have made this year are to Utah several times for family events, British Columbia, Canada for Bryan’s family’s reunion, Chicago to check out the school and have some fun, which we did, and Red feather Lakes for the Dirk Lamprecht’s first family reunion. It has been a fun year with many experiences to remember.

better day today

So yesterday turned out to be not such a bad day...I actually had time to sit and play with Kambria and due to the fact I knew i was a little tired I tried VERY hard to be patient. And let me tell you it WORKED!!!!

We finished up our Christmas shopping last night and now all I have left is Bryan's stocking...that should be easy enough, he even said that we don't need much candy! he is being so easy this year! We are not giving each other presents since we now have a car payment...except for our stockings.

Today has gone OK. Bryan is at clinical today and Kambria is now sleeping. We are going to go shovel snow for our service today, so I am going to go make cookies to give them too when we are done snow shoveling!

I have to make mention of news I just heard...my friend Megan from church died last night in a car accident. It has hit me hard this morning. I just talked to her on Sunday and she gave me a bunch of left over diapers from her son Teak. He was staying with his grandparents and his dad was thrown from the car. We don't currently know what is happening with Quinn, the dad. I am sure we will find out more tonight as we have choir practice...which she was singing in too. But let me just tell you it has hit me hard and has made me think a LOT about my life and what would happen with Kambria...Bryan and I, I am sure will talk more about this tonight!

KIDS!!! AGH

So here I sit this morning in a BAD mood. Last night was NOT a fun night once we went down to our bedroom to go to bed. Kambria woke up and Bryan and I decided that we were teaching her bad lessons by letting her come into bed with us. So we let her scream!!! For 45 minutes she screamed!!! And then FINALLY fell asleep, even without her binky. That was quite a surprise to me that she actually feel asleep after all that screaming, you would have thought she was hurt or deathly scared. But she did fall asleep, only to toss and turn for the next 15 minutes. But then she woke up several times and since I did not want to go through the screaming bit again, I went and gave her her binky. This happened about 5 times.
Then I figured she would sleep in a little bit since she did not fall asleep until almost midnight...NOPE I was wrong...7:00am she awoke...so I tried to get her to just rest with us in bed...no she climbed all over Bryan and I for an hour until she started throwing a fit and so I took her up stairs for breakfast...This day is NOT starting out well.

I hope it turns into a better one. Hopefully she will cooperate a little bit and just leave me alone this morning. Is this normal behavior for Kambria and me? I sure hope so and that I am not just a crazy annoyed mother!

Family pictures

So yesterday, Saturday December 8, 2007 we took the first "family" pictures of the Bryan Fairbanks family that included a child. Now there have been many times when we have taken pictures of the family and such, but none officially as family pictures! And I have to admit that they turned out so much better than either Bryan or I though they would turn out.

The story is that we took Don Fairbanks' family pictures while we were out in Utah, but Kambria got a horrible rash and we took them outside when it was FREEZING!! so Kambria was not a happy camper and they did not turn out the way we would have liked. So we went yesterday and just took Bryan Fairbanks' family pictures. It was a busy day at the mall and it was snowing so we were a little late for our appointment. And the store was PACKED with families taking pictures. It was busier than we had ever seen. So we even had to wait a while and so Kambria was getting tired and not exactly cooperating. SO we did not think that there would be any pictures with Kambria looking at the camera or for that matter even smiling, but well there were 3 that turned out cute...We are sending out Christmas card with these pictures on them too so I will have to wait to post the pictures until I get them sent out so we do not spoil the fun.

And I have to say that at church today, I have once again been reminded that giving a child everything they want is NOT a good thing. There was a talk given about how the person talking was given everything should could ever want as a child and how she regrets it. It made me very thankful to have been taught the value of money and the idea of working for what you have. Now of course we all would like to have things just handed to us in life, but after hearing this talk, I don't think it would be worthwhile for ANYONE to have things just handed to them...

I also taught a lesson on financial responsibility to the YW today. I was originally was just supposed to teach Anna, but I ended up teaching the laurels and Mia maids too. It turned out good and we had a nice discussion abut debt and credit and frugal-ness. I think this was a good lesson to have around Christmas time, when sometimes teenagers are "want want want" during Christmas. The bishop from the other ward even sat in on the lesson and told me afterward that he was very impressed with how the discussion went and was very grateful for people like me who can teach a lesson like that! I was very thankful to hear that. Sometimes I wonder if I teach a good lesson, or if I just ramble a lot. I still have to question if it was just a bishop being nice, or if he truly meant it, but I will take it as sincere this time!

Bryan took a service tag off of the ward's giving tree for Christmas this year. I have to say that I am impressed with Bryan doing this because I know it was going out of his comfort zone and it would have been easier for him to have taken a money gift than a service gift, but after talking with me about it and then contemplating it for a while, he chose the service. So we are going to give Madalyn McKinney and Sister Hinchey some service for Christmas this year. I am excited to do this, and also to feel the gift giving spirit as well as the service aspect of it! Christmas is great isn't it!!!??

December 6

We went to the temple last night for our stake temple night and I was so glad I did. I was having feelings of not wanting to go...but if course my loving husband told me that we needed to go and so we did. It was good for me. I reflected on my life and had some wonderful conversations with my husband. It is SO nice to have a live in babysitter...my mother. Although the reason she did not go to the temple was because she was not feeling well, but she offered to watch Kambria for us so we could go. How sweet is that!? Thanks mom!

There also was a wonderful nativity scene in front of the temple that Bryan and I thought was very sweet. it truly reminded me what this season is celebrating...Christ! And what better way than being at the temple! I knew I was supposed to go for some reason.

So with this ever increasing retail holiday...please let us remember the TRUE meaning for celebration! I have so much to be thankful and grateful for...so here are a few.

1. My husband, who so ever sweetly and softly reminds me of things I should be doing!
2. My daughter Kambria, even with all her energy and opinion! I truly m thankful for her health and for the things she teaches me on a daily basis.
3. My family. This has become quite apparent the last 1o months. I truly do not know what we would have done without them...that includes EVERYONE...Tess, Brady and nelson too. It has been fun living with Brady and Tess again and the little things we have been able to do together. i know that all of us are ready for things to move on in a way, but i will miss it when it is gone!
4. My in laws. They are a great family who has accepted me for who I am...I am so glad that I have a great relationship with my mother in law and for all of her help and advice. This means a lot to me
5. For my health. i can not imagine what it wold be like to be sick on a constant basis. I REALLY am glad for feeling good enough to get up in the mornings, and to do the things that I want to do...maybe one day I will even WANT to exercise, when right now it is a have to thing rather than want to.
6. For water. I know this sounds weird, but think about it. Water is what makes life possible. I heard somewhere that the reason we are supposed to have 72 hour kits and not 48 hour kits is that it takes 72 hours for rescue teams to get water in to the damaged area...I thought that was interesting. Water is one of those things that makes you that much more grateful when you don't have it!
7. For the truthfulness of the gospel. I am so thankful that I have this in my life and for the opportunity that I have to live it. I really do not know where I would be in my life without it and do not even want to think about what would be happening in my life...lets just say I have seen many people without the truth and where it got them...glad I am not one of them.
8. Friends. I make friends easily, but it seems like lately that I have not kept up on some friendships that mean a lot to me. For those of you who feel this way I apologize. I truly am thankful for the experiences in my life that have lead me to people whom I trust, love and admire. I am thankful also for the friends that I have lost contact with and then we go back to right where we left off, no matter how much time we have gone without seeing or talking to each other. I love friendship...especially good ones!
9. My heritage. This is one thing that I have not thought about lately, but have come to realize that it is what makes me me. I have a lot of backgrounds that make me who I am, but most of all I claim German, mostly because of my maiden name. It is a joy to know somewhat of your heritage and I have enjoyed when I get time to learn about mine...although genealogy is not a strong point of mine.
10. I am graeftul for technology. I think about my ancestors and the things they had to endure...I am so grateful I did not have to endure them! I love being indoors when it is cold outside and not having to wake up early to milk cows or feed horses!

So those are my thoughts for the day. Remember Christ in Christmas!

it is already december!

I can not believe how time is FLYING past! There are days when they seem so long, but the year has truly FLOWN by! December is already upon us and all the fun of the Christmas season is here. Since we bought our Christmas present early this year, our car, I feel like I don't need to go shopping...but then I remember that I still have brothers and sisters to shop for. We draw names in my family as well as in Bryan's family...but it is a little different. In my family we only use the names of the siblings...when one is married they just get a family gift...in Bryan's family everyone's name, in laws included, are put in a hat and drawn. So this year we have Brady and I have Erik and Bryan has Amanda. And then we have to do each others stockings....yep Bryan does mine and I do Kambria's and Bryan's. And then we have the parents to shop for too...I think that is the hardest one!

Sometimes the holiday is so crazy...I told Amanda, who is giving to me this year, that I don't want anything that I have to move again...so something I can use, like a massage or pedicure or something like that would be nice. We will see how it goes.

Bryan is doing well with school. I know he feels like he can always be doing more, but I am so proud of him and all the time and energy he is putting into it. I can't wait till all the studying is done. But once again I am so proud of him!

So that s ll the time I have for ramblings...

Our first real snow fall

So yesterday morning we woke up to about 3 or 4 inches of snow...it has been quite mild this winter! But Kambria was having so much fun talking about outside that I decided to get her all dressed up and we went outside and played in the snow...now I usually hear about stories about ho it takes so long to get them ready to go outside and then they don't play outside for very long...well, that was NOT the case with Kambria. We bought a little snow suit that is SO easy to put on and then just some gloves and shoes...we have not bought boots for her yet.

She LOVED eating the snow...don't worry it wasn't yellow snow! ;o)

We played outside for about a half hour. Then she wanted to come in and was ready for her morning nap! She is such a cutie!





then for lunch we had cup of noodles and she decided she wanted to do it herself and so we let her play with the whole cup, of course with the water not in it anymore... Doesn't she look like a little china man? She had pudding on her top lip that makes it looks like a mustache!





So not much else is going on...WAIT...I have not even posted anything about my new nieces...yes that is rights nieces...!!! They are twin girls born Monday November 26!!! I have not been able to see them in person yet, due to a cold that I have and not wanting to give it to any of them.

"Chloe Brooke Lamprecht (on the left )and Ella Pearl Lamprecht ( on the right) are finally here. After 37 weeks of waiting to meet them, they arrived at 08:52 am and 08:53 am. Chloe weighed 5 lbs 10 oz and Ella weighed 5 lbs 8 oz which is honestly a good weight for babies born at 37 weeks. Chloe cries a bit more than Ella and Ella seems to be looking around at the world more while Chloe is less interested in things around her."

I am FINALLY back!!

I know it has been a while since I last wrote!!! Almost 3 weeks! That is a long time for me...but like I said, Bryan has been working diligently on the computer and the only reason I have it right now it that the web page he needs is not available due to the servers currently being down! So that means I get to update this!!! YEAH!

So to answer the question on every ones mind about what we bought that was so exciting....

A NEW CAR!!!!

yes it is VERY new...only 1 year old! It is an 07 Chevy Malibu and the color is officially maroon! What a shock for both of us! We were very surprised with ourselves when we drove it off the lot on Wednesday Nov 14! But we had already been looking at cars and trying to decide what we should do...the process took from 9 am to 5pm...so we put in our research and talking with the dealership and things. We were VERY proud of ourselves with how we did not let the sales man take advantage of us! We knew what we were doing and did not sign until we liked the deal! So we traded my car in, which we had to jump start to even drive it to the lot, and then we are going to be selling Bryan's passat here soon...so we will be a one car family. But that is fine with us...we will only need one car in the near future anyways and that way it saves on car insurance and on gas!!! We just have to plan accordingly! So we have owned the car for two whole weeks and it had been GREAT!!!

So we drove up to Fort Collins on Monday November 19 and then took off to Utah for Thanksgiving in Provo with Bryan's family out there. The only thing that was bad about this trip was that 5 out of the 11 of us were sick at some point during the weekend!!1 Bryan and I were included in that ans it was NOT FUN!!! Kambria even got sick, but hers was a WEIRD rash as you can tell by the pictures... just look closely at her legs. It started by her getting really mucus-y eyes that made her eyes glued shut...So were took her to insta care, but when we got there it was an hour and a half wait and there was an alarm going off due to some construction that was going on...so it was noisy and then I had a little voice tell me that Mom and Tess had had this not too long ago...so we left. the next day her eyes were still really goopy, but it was thanksgiving anyways so we did not go in. So on Friday we took her in because she started to get the rash. They said it is normal sometimes and not to worry. Well, we went and saw Grandma Jetta and Aunt Sherie and had some fun there...but then I started to get nauseous so we left. By the time we got back up to Orem, Kambria was puffy in the face! so Bryan went to the store and bought Benedryl but was even worse when he got back from the store! so all the guys gave her a blessing, which was cool to see! Then Bryan and his dad took her back to insta care and they said it was only hive and put her on some medicine called Zyrtek...it worked! She is MUCH better!!! Thank goodness for modern medicine.

So that was the eventful week in Utah! i am so glad to be back...and here are some more pictures just to have on record!

This is one that happened the day after veteran's day. I had watched another little girl and put the pack n play next to the piano bench...well not realizing, I had basically made stairs going up the piano. Bryan came down from the shower and found Kambria up on top of the PIANO!!!! it was a scary situation! But turned out all well in the end. so we put her back up to take a picture..so of course I could BLOG about it! ;o)

And this picture is about a month ago when we raked the leaves in the backyard! Kambria had so much fun! she even sat in the wheel barrow and was pushed around the back yard! What fun!

Exciting!

Well I don't have much time to explain...but here is a teaser...we bought something new and exciting. more details to come when I can get on the computer without feeling like I am invading on Bryan's studying time...he is doing REALLY good at studying a lot and I don't want to interrupt that,...so more details will come, maybe this weekend.

Its a small world

This is the Denver temple.

So today was our "day in heaven" day at the temple. Once a year, I think if not more, our stake does a day in heaven, where people go throughout the day and do as much temple work as they can. So Bryan and I worked it out with two other couples from the stake to switch off babysitting. We went this morning and they will go later tonight. So we dropped Kambria off at Tammy's house this morning at 9 am. We were a little nervous dropping her off, due to the fact that the last time we did that with our other friend Tamie, she was a little nervous and she ended up staying there for only an hour...well Kambria did fine. She even had a nap and played with Caden quite nicely according to Tammy. I am so proud she did so well! I should have moreconfidence in my little girl!


But back to the title of the post...Just as we were leaving the temple our stake president stopped us to say hi. We chatted for a little bit and he asked what our plans are now. So Bryan told him how he started school for Northwestern on Monday and how we will be moving to Chicago in April sometime. He was thrilled for us because that was his Alma mater school!!! And then he goes on to say that the stake president out there is a friend of his that he knew back in deacons quorum when he was 12!!! Can you believe it?! He said he could give him a call and let him know we are coming! It was amazing to both Bryan and I that both of these friends are now stake presidents and they are still friends! I love it! I can only imagine who will be a stake president one day from Bryan's or my friends...that would be pretty cool to say I knew you when...And then on top of that, that we are being looked out for again! The church is so great!!! It just makes you feel like you belong no matter where you go! What a small world it truly is!

Madalyn and Kambria -- cousins

So here are some pictures that Lisa took for us while they were in Denver watching Amanda play a soccer game. I think the cousins got along quite well...

And since I was tagged by my friend Heather...here are 6 things about me...hopefully they fit the "assignment." ;o)

1. I HATE when people drive fast and then slam on the brakes! I also hate it when people are swerving in and out of traffic lanes trying to get some where faster...they usually end up getting in an accident anyway...and then I ask, "was the 2 seconds really worth it?"

2. I had aspirations to go to school and become an accountant and be a stay at home mom who did "the books" for some businesses...I NEVER wanted to serve a mission and yet I did...and was not a wife until I was close to 25 and not a mom until I was close to 27...and I never became an accountant...I finished my degree in finance due to the fact that I failed my upper class accounting class...At least I finished a degree right? Right! And I am a mo

m now...that is all that matters to me...and I would not change the experiences I had on my mission in Poland for anything!!!

3. I have not yet been to a drive-in movie...nope Heather I have not! Maybe next summer I could try and go...

4. I always wanted to have a retainer or braces when I was in elementary school because all of my friends did...so I used to take paperclips and unbend them and pretend I had a retainer. And then in sixth grade I had a retainer that kept my mouth shut in the sense that my teeth were closed...I could only take it out to eat...so I talked with my mouth shut for an entire school year...It was ROUGH...serves me right trying to fit in huh?

5. When I was young I used to go around telling people that "I kiss kitty's." I thought it was something people should know.

6. My parents used to call me Kamazakee Lizzy due to my daring nature. I used to sit at the top of our street, which was a big hill, and ride my smurf big wheel all the way down the hill with my legs in the air screaming WEEEEEEE..... there also happened to be a pretty busy street at the end of the hill...which terrified my mother, but I always stopped right before the street...hence the name! Now I understand my young nature in that Kambria has the same attitudes...no fear!!!

Its november

So last night was officially Halloween. It was a fun night. We went to a friends Halloween party for all the little kids in our ward, it happened to be at the bishops house none the less. It was fun to go trick or treating with Kambria. She got the idea that the candy goes in the bag once someone gives it to you. She was loved by all! Then we came home and went to bed. Not too exciting, but well worth it. We missed seeing some of friends at the party, but we had to leave early since Kambria was not lasting long without her bottle and blanket and bed. Sorry Roni and Tammy. Hope you made it though.

and today is Bryan's last day working at allosource! I can not believe it...it seems like he just started there! Time flies...I hope that is how this school part seems too~~fast!!

Halloween Party...in Fort Collins

So we drove up to Fort Collins last night and went to Don and MaryEllen's ward party...since our ward does not have one. It was fun to see Kambria having a good time. She was so friendly and loved to hug all of the "animals." She is still a little young to understand what was going on, but she a fun time. And it was her first "trunk or treating." Trick or treating is for tonight. She of course was cute in her costume and MANY pictures were taken by the grandparents. We should get them back in a couple of days and then I will have to post them.

And Bryan and I took our pumpkins up to show them off in the pumpkin contest...we even won!!! (except I think everyone who had a pumpkin there won something ;o)) But mine was best idea since I turned my pumpkin on the side. And Bryan's was best design!

Carving pumpkins

So we had fun for FHE carving pumpkins. Bryan really got into it, but KAMBRIA was so excited she could hardly stand it. When you took away the pumpkin she threw a fit. So my mother watched her and helped her carve most the night. Thanks mom!! Here are the pictures to prove she was having so much fun!

Sorry there are no photos of me...I was the one taking the pictures...pictures with me in them are coming...we are going up to Fort Collins tonight to participate in Bryan's parents' ward party since our ward does not have one (the bishopin our ward is against Halloween parties I guess)...so pictures are coming!

This weekend we went and saw our friends Dre and Nate. I have not seen her while she is pregnant yet...she is 7 months! And we even live only about 20 minutes away. BUT none the less, we saw them this weekend and we Had a blast. we caught up on each others' lives and family members and what our near future holds...we ate dinner, which was homemade fettuccine Alfredo, watched the Rockies world series game on the TV, and played the Europe version of Ticket to ride, or known by us as the Train game. It was fun, but a challenge when you have a 14 month old running around a non-kidified apartment. But I managed to get through it with only one fit...which everyone agreed was definitely drama queen! And on top of it all Bryan won with 125 points...Dre was not far behind with 118! and then there was me at 90! Oh well. It was a fun night and we even got a picture--it was requested by our friends Jeff and Tammy!

Then on Sunday we drove up to Fort Collins to be at church witha his family and spent the day with Lisa and Erik and Madalyn. It was a fun day...we got home around 9:30! But it was well worth it. We went to a brand new park which was WAY cool. It had a little kids area for 2-5 year olds and a bigger area. there were even parts which were handicapped accessible! I thought that was REALLY cool. There were so many "new" areas of a park that I have never seen before. It was fun and we walked around the park and played for about an hour and a half!!! That just goes to show how fun it really was!

So that was the weekend...and now this week is the count down for Bryan not working at allosource any more. only 3 days to go!!! Then school begins next Monday! I can not believe 10 months have already passed and we are in school again, I say we, because I know and am willing to help Bryan study and get through this school.
