My birthday...only a month late

Thursday October 15, 2009This is what I woke up to! CINNAMON rolls!!!! It was wonderful...especially since Bryan had to work that day! He got up early and made them for me and decorated! Kambria woke up and came in my room and woke me up by saying lets go see all your presents and balloons! They are out in the kitchen for your birthday! Way to ruin the surprise! But it was wonderful for her to remember my birthday too!

This is Weston folding his arms! He does it so well!

This was the kitchen table with all My presents!I got custom orthotics from Bryan! What a surprise. He had someone from work make them for me and what a Sucker I was thinking he was taking a mold of my foot for someone to practice on at work! I got makeup and face lotion...only costing $4 by the way! I even have Bryan saving money now! ;o)
And I got new jeans!!! I also got two boxes of Tulips and Bryan's help to plant them. This is the first time I have done tulips so hopefully they will turn out!
That night I thought we were not going to do ANYTHING fun for my birthday...but low and behold our friends Trinity and Wes come over to have dinner with us and celebrate! It was something different and fun! Thanks guys! This was my birthday Pie that MaryEllen made me since she knows that cakes are not my most favorite! and Weston and Kambria had to help me open my presents...I got a wonderful Wreath to go on my front door, Some jewelry, and some underwear! It was great!
I later celebrated with my mother and father and they got me some hand weights! Just what I had asked them for! Thanks!

Halloween

So I know this is a little late, but I figured rather than trying to get caught up right away on all the other posts I have been meaning to do...I would just start today and move forward...and then maybe once in a while finish an old post too...

so now for Halloween. This month we did a lot to try and have the kids as excited as we could. We made sugar cookies and decorated them:

We cut pumpkins twice.

Once at our house:

And once at grandma & grandpas house:

We had a Halloween party at Kambrias school. Forgot to take pictures of that one.

Went to the ward Halloween party: This year we were the clan from Peter Pan. Kambria was Tinkerbell, Bryan was captain hook...with a real prosthetic hook and all! Mom was Wendy and Weston was Peter Pan. We thought it turned out really good!
Kambria even got to go on a hay ride all by herself!

Then on Halloween we went over to Pat and Ashly's house and had dinner with them, took the kids tick or treating...which Weston and Lydia even got into...

Peter PanTinkerbelland then we made Doughnuts together! They were SO good and fun to make. Pat had made the dough earlier, but we got to decorate them and eat them. Kambria even helped!

We tried to celebrate my 30th birthday earlier in the month...but we all had been sick so it got cancelled! Pat and Ashley were kind enough to make me a big doughnut and sing happy birthday to me! It was quite he surprise and was fun to celebrate again! Thanks guys!

Kambria is 3...a little late on the post

Kambria is three!
I can not believe that my baby is three already! She is growing and becoming such the lady. She keeps me hopping and going all the time. If I have spent too much time in the house she gets her shoes on and says, lets go mom…where? I don’t know. We should just go! That is my girl! She likes to be doing and going and having a grand time! We love her so much.
Her three year stats:
Height: 37.3”
Weight: 34lbs
She is in the 50% for both---just as Weston is for his age group! We have “average” children, but only average in height and weight! ;o)

She wanted a butterfly birthday so we had a “friend” party, which only turned out as having her friend Rileigh come and play.

Her “cake” was butterfly cupcakes. I thought they turned out rather well from just seeing them online She wanted green and yellow butterflies…

Kambria got so excited when we sang happy birthday to her that her eyes filled up with tears. She tried so hard to not cry, but they definitely were tears of joy! That is my girl!!! Already her heart is close to her tear ducts. (as my grandpa Don would say)

She got playdough from Riliegh...can you tell she is happy!?
Kambria also received a big comfy lounge chair from Bryan’s boss Joe and his family! Rileigh and Kambria had a great time, as did Weston and Chloe!

The next day we had my parents and Bryan’s parents come over to celebrate! It was a grand time. Kambria got a sandbox from Nonnie and Poppa and toys to fill it with from Colin and Tess!

And once again when we sang to her, she teared up! What a cutie!

She got a exercise/alphabet bike from mom and dad with some books and DVD’s to help her start learning her letters. She got a fun squishy Ball from Amanda and a camera of her own from Grandma and Grandpa.

She also got a present from Bryan's piano students. Her very own Horse!!!! Fun fun!

She had a blast having so much attention on her! We love you Kambria and are so glad you chose us for your family!

swimming

When Lisa and Eric came to visit we decided to take a couple of days and go swimming in our nieghborhood pool. It was a fun time. Although Kambria liked Eric's attention, Madalyn got too jealous of it after a while. ;o)

This is Kambria holding on to Eric's back while he was swimming...

weston's fun

Here are some pictures of Weston playing by himself while the girls were playing so well together.

Cousin Madalyn

Madalyn came to play with her family. This time Kambria and Madalyn did a fairly good job of playing nicely with each other. So here are some pictures of them playing...every once in a while Weston got in on the fun too!

Weston in a bucket

Thought I would just post some random pictures of Weston. He found the buckets Bryan brought home and decided to play away...

hiking

We decided to take a hike up horsetooth. It is called Horsetooth falls. It was a nice quick hike that was PLENTY for Kambria. She was done by the time we got back to the car. We went with MaryEllen and our friends Pat and Ashley. I think the kids did great for most of the hike and I think Kambria even enjoyed having her grandma hike with us!

Weston is ONE!!!!

I can not believe that my "little" Weston is one!!! We went to the doctors today, I know I am a mean mom to take him to the doctors and have shots on his birthday....but I did!
So here are his stats at 1 year:
Height: 31"
Weight:23 lbs, 10 oz
So he is in the 50% for both height and weight. He is definitely thinning out since he is up and walking a little now.

We had a little birthday celebration for him. Both families came and our friends Pat and Ashley.

He did not really know what was going on, but he had fun opening the presents as you can tell by the pictures.

i made a fun monkey cake and a special "cake" just for Weston to have himself, since it is tradition at their first birthday to get their own chocolate cake and have at it...Weston did not know what to make of it at first, but then got into it. He was thirsty too...and then had to have the fork!!!! What a funny guy!

We sure do love our Weston!!!! He can do so many things and is just a very precious baby! Happy birthday little man!!!!
after thought...we went and had his 1 year pictures taken! He looks so much like Bryan it is unbelievable!!! What a cutie!

children's museum free night!

We took a train ride while at the children's museum...

My friend Valarie told me about the free night at the Children's Museum. So we drove down and went. It was VERY busy. But i think worth the effort. Kambria and Weston both had fun. Thanks Valarie for the inside info!

High School friends

I was able to stop by my high school friend's combined b-day party for a minute. Here are the pictures to prove it. Sorry I couldn't stay longer. But it was fun to chat for a minute!

It was a 1929 style party...due to them both turning 29 on July 3rd!

tea party

Weston is already being directed by Kambria for her occasional tea parties! But he doesn't seem to mind.

fun in the summertime

Kambria LOVES to run in the sprinkler and this time I got it on film!!!

July 4th

We got up early and went to our ward's annual pancake breakfast. While there we also got the priviledge of seeing some WWII fighter jets. We also got to see the kids (and adults) set off some rockets.

Kambria enjoyed playing with all her "friends"
After that we saw Uncle Scott and Aunt Jacqueline and their new truck. Not bad not bad!

Then we went home for naps. Those were much needed!!!

Then we trudged out to Lake Loveland and stood out the rain, saw a nice rainbow and FINALLY saw our fair share of fireworks. It was DEFINITELY worth the effort and wait! Bryan enjoyed himself as did I and our friends Ashley and Pat and their daughter Lydia!Lydia all snug and tryng to stay warmWeston was tired and nervous with all the fireworks, but did quite well...although he wanted Daddy and not mommy this time. That is ok with me once in a while! ;o)

Kambria's new do's

Kambria got a "hair cut" on July 4th. She was beginning to get a rats tail and so we decided to cut that part off. So she had her first haircut at almost 3 years old. not bad. and truly she did'nt have much cut off. But none the less you can see all of the expereince here: She enjoyed it and LOVES to brush her hair now!

new rides

Kambria got to "borrow" nonnie's new bicycle...ie tricycle. But Kambria likes to call it her bicycle. She LOVES it and asks to ride it almost everyday. So while Kambria gets to ride this new ride, Weston gets her "old" one. ;o) But he loves to just sit and examine what it is all about.

First fruits (veggies) from our garden

We picked our first veggies from our garden the other night. Kambria enjoyed the sugar peas A LOT! She ate them all except for one I had and one Bryan got. Then we had to tell her to stop eating them so we could take a picture of them. Ahe did not enjoy the green onion quite the same. But Bryan sure liked it in his omelet the next morning!
