now the wait

Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers on my brothers behalf. He is set to have surgery on Jan 5th. It will be from 9am-3pm...or more it that is what it takes. It will be a stressful day for all of us!

He has what is called glioma. Not much is know about how all the surgery will go down, recovery or radiation and chemo...but we are doing ok. My brother is handling it well so far...he is a trooper. I want him, and everyone I know, to know how much I love him and treasure our relationship as friends as well as brother and sister. He means the world to me. Even though we have not been able to do things together as of recently due to living in different states, I do remember all, and I mean ALL the times we have had together. It makes me giggle just thinking about the "words" he makes up and the game night we spent laughing!

I love him so much. I do not know how this will all turn out, but I do know that we have a Heavenly Father who knows how it will turn out and he is watching over my brother and our family. We have already seen so many examples of this in just the short time since we found out.

I am sorry other things will have to be put on hold...like updating this blog as much as I would like. I will try to get christmas put up as soon as I can go through the loads of pictures I/ Bryan took! Thanks for understanding!

not much fun

I don't have much energy to say this...but it needs to be said.

My brother Brady has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has an appoinment this morning and I will upate as we get updates.

All I can ask is for my friends and extended family that don't know yet, to please say a prayer for him and our family. This is really a struggle for me right now and I need some support. Thanks in advance.

Temple Square lights

We had the opportunity to see the lights on temple sqaure the last night we were in Utah and had a blast. We enjoyed seeing the lights and the temple all lit up. We even saw the famous red tree. We took the kids into the old tabernacle. They had fun with the echo! What hams!

random pictures

When Weston wakes up in the morning, he decides that he is going to get his own breakfast. This is him with his lucky charms cereal dumped on the table so he can pick out the marshmallows. Kambria decided to help him eat them this time...and this time at least he was sitting at a table instead of dumping them all over the floor like he has so many times before!

This pictures speaks thousands of words! Look at the expression on Kambria's face!
This is Kambria after she woke up from her nap. She LOVES her dolls and bags! And what a hairdo!

Happy Weston! The kiddos with dad on a Saturday morning. What Weston would look like with glasses! So handsome! He looks VERY stylish!
And smart!

Snow fun

We have already had some fun times in the snow. Our first snow storm was on October 10th and since then we have made some good snow angels and used our sled a couple of times. Weston is getting better at enjoying the cold "stuff" and not crying as much! But Kambria sure loves to be outside and playing in it! Bryan has even be able to join us a couple of times!

I included this one because of its artistic elements! just a fun picture!

Fairbanks' family pictures

I LOVE looking at pictures. I LOVE taking pictures. But I especially love having family pictures taken. I think they are fun to look at and display in my home. So we had Bryan's cousin take our family pictures. I thought they turned out good. Of course you always look at yourself and think...well its okay. That is how I felt with some...but these aren't bad:

This one is the favorite........not biased at all though. So this will be our family picture for this year!

And of course this one is the one that will be properly displayed in my house!

Utah Lamprecht's

While we were in Utah we were able to see my brother Brady for a minute and enjoyed helping him put up his Christmas tree. The kids had a blast helping. Especially Kambria.

We also got to see his light show on his house. He has done some GREAT work with it this year. He even has Kermit the frog singing. We love you Brady! We also got to spend a little time seeing my Grandma and Aunt Sherie. We sure do love them lots and miss having the opportunity to see them more often. We see them about twice a year...and that is a good year!

But the kids had fun and it didn't take them near the time to be themselves around them. Kambria LOVES Sherie (but who wouldn't) and she even let Grandma "great" as we have the kids call her rock her for a minute. Thanks for the brief, but memorable time together!

Thanksgiving...

We drove to Utah to be with Bryan's family for thanksgiving. I drove out with the kids and Bryan's mom on tuesday morning and then Bryan and his dad flew out on wednesday night. We had a fun time. Kambria enjoyed having Madalyn around and for the most part they played well with each other. Weston even enjoyed the fun. We had all the fixens and I helped with the green bean casserole and pies. I have to admit though that I like making my own pie crusts rather than the store bought. I used store bought becasue that is what we had to use and the crusts ended up being burnt. No biggy, but I like my own pie crusts (probably becasue that is what I know how to do. ;o)
Some picture to relect on fun times:
The kids were pretending to be driving a bus. Madalyn was the bus driver
Kambria brought her dress up clothes to share. Madalyn and Kambria had a lot of fun dressing up being "princesses."

Erik was the "man of the hour." All the kids loved to climb on him.
