my new project

So one of our neighbors had this chest of drawer on their driveway with a free sign on it. So I took it and now I am trying to paint it white and put new knobs on it...I will post the final project when I am done.

Kambria's hair

Kambria's hair can now be braided!!!! I thought it was too cute to pass up...and how about those cheesy smiles! Kambria is great at smiling for the camera now!!!

now a couponer!!!

I am now into Couponing...or so the term is now forming...I LOVE to find good deals and use coupons to make the deals even sweeter.

There is a website I follow hip2save.com and one of her posts helped me to get all of this...

a total of $42 something for only $5 something!!!! I was SO pleased with myself. It took some work a some planning, but I did it! 5 bottles of mayo, 5 bottles of BBQ sauce, 1 box of 100 calorie snacks, 3 Hershey bliss bars (could have done more) 3 boxes of Ritz, 2 boxes of granola bars,and a tube of toothpaste!!! Not bad!!! Go Eliza!

Weston's second tooth

These were taken on May 11, 2009. Hopefully you can see the second tooth popping up throught the gums. Weston is NOT a good toother!...meaning he is clinging and grouchy when he is teething! Thank goodness this one has finally broken through...only to begin the clinginess and grouchiness of his two top teeth!!! They are on their way!

mother's day weekend

So I am still trying to play catch up. So all I wanted for mother's day was flowers...not the cut kind but the planted kind. So Bryan spent his morning the saturday before roto tilling our garden and helping me plant our flowers! It is harder than it looks we discovered! But we had fun doing it and are pleased with the outcome. What do you think?

And with all the playing in the mud, Weston decided to eat his first handful of dirt. I am sure there are many more of this to come, but here is, happy with the result...runny nose and all!

Then on mother's day itself, Leah and her kids, minus Nelson, and my mom and Colin came up to celebrate with us. Kambria and Hayden had SO much fun playing together. This was the last time they will see each other for about 9 months. They moved to Canada for Nelson's work...but only for a short while. It was a joyful time to see them play so well together!

I feel bad I did not get pictures of the twins!!! Sorry leah! We will miss you guys and want to read and see all the fun things you get to do up in Canada!!!!

Utah trip post 3

Well it has taken me WAY too long to post this...every time I start the computer wont save what I am trying to do and I lose EVERYTHING...so we will try again...

Layna Sage Freeman was blessed and the day was GREAT! It was a little windy, but the weather was nice. It was a good day to spend with family. Although we had to leave the party a little early and drive back to Colorado. Bummer! But Layna was blessed in the same dress as Madalyn was...the one that I MADE!!! I thought Layna looked very cute and beautiful in it! And it certainly was an honor that Lisa let Layna wear it too! They make a great little family don't they?

Trip to Utah...post 2

On Saturday night, we decided to check out the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point! Brady had mentioned that he was going to go, and MaryEllen thought it would be a fun thing to do. It was raining all day and sprinkling on and off that afternoon, but we decided to try it! We are SO GLAD we did! It was gorgeous!!! Bryan had a lot of fun taking pictures of the flowers. He is so good at photography with things like that! So here are some of the flower pictures...I tried to pick the ones that show how grandiose it was! It was so fun to see all the different varieties and types and colors! I have decided that I LOVE tulips...so when we have our own house...we will be planting tulips!

Trip to Utah...post 1

We took a quick trip to Utah for Layna's baby blessing. We left Friday only to return on Sunday. It was a needed get away and we were glad we could be there to supprt Lisa and her fam. It was fun to see her new house, which we are jealous of by the way, and let Kambria and Madalyn share in the joy of playing with each other!

Here are the pictures of Weston meeting Grandma Jetta and Aunt Sherie for the first time. And letting Kambria become acquainted with them again. It was a fun time to see them again...although that was a fast visit also...only about 3 hours. Brady was even able to come and spend that time with us also! Maybe next time we will have to make a trip to Utah just for play time with Great-grandma and Sherie!!!!

Kambria really attached herself to Sherie. She was jumping all over her! Hence the cute smile from Kambria in the pictures.

Brother and sister

Kambria and Weston have been playing so nicely together lately. Kambria is still a major boss...but Weston doesn't seem to mind too much :)

I just thought they looked good and Kambria's hair was hard to pass up taking pictures. These were taken on April 29...I am getting caught up slowly!

who needs a trampoline?

Bryan and I finally decided to get ourselves a new mattress. We have only had Bryan's old mattress that he got when he was in high school...so it is about 10 to 15 years old. And needless to say it has served us well. ;o)BUT... we needed a new one

We LOVE our new mattress. We kept the boxspring so as to save money. We bought a simmons beauty rest and it is GREAT. Neither one of our backs hurt now! It is quite amazing what a good mattress will do for your sleeping habits!!!...So we let Kambria jump on the old one. We are keeping it, because you never know when you will need an extra mattress...but until then Kambria had a good time!

Easter egg dying 09

These pictures are from when we dyed Easter eggs. Kambria was most excited, but of course she wanted to take pictures when I tried to take some of Weston standing up...so these are the results.

Weston is crawling...late post

Weston was almost 8 months when I took this video. I took it on Apr 3, 09. He pulled himself up on his crib! I could hardly believe my eyes! What a big boy!

And this video was taken a week later on April 9, 09. He crawled at 8 months! Kambria crawled at 8 1/2 months... so he is a little earlier, but pretty close! And now he is FOR SURE cruisin'!!!

General conference weekend

late post, but at least I posted about it!

Over General Conference weekend...we celebrated my Dads birthday but we were supposed to get a HUGE snow storm so we (Nelson and his fam and me and my fam) stayed over night at my mom's house just so we could all be together and miss the storm...well we woke up to about an inch of snow!!!! So much for that!! But we had fun and did some fun things together~! including an Easter egg hunt for the kids!

Leah and Tess even worked out with me that morning! And then Tess went to work and Leah and I sewed bags while the men went to priesthood and my mom sewed some clothes for the twins! It was a fun weekend!

And I had to add this one...Tess is scraping off the HUGE snow storm in her shorts and t-shirt and wet hair with towel over it...to take Colin to work! Way to go Tess!!!
