preseason football game

We had the privilege of getting some pre season football tickets to see the Tennessee Titans...for FREE!!! We were thrilled to be able to find a babysitter for FREE and were able to go on a short notice of about 5 hours. an almost free date night...

Here is the stadium and we walked over to it...it was about a 15 minute walk to the stadium so we only had to pay $10 instead of a LOT more...and everyone does this in order to avoid the car rush!
The seats we had were 12 rows up from the field!!! How cool is that? Yeah it was pre season, but still cool!

We tried to document that we were there and this was the best shot we got. We had fun and now can say we have gone to a professional football game! Thanks Matt for your generosity!

Kambria's 4!

I can not believe that my little girl is 4!!! She is such a diva! She has been such a blessing in our home and makes life fun and interesting! We love you Kambria!!!

We staged the dining room the night before..
this was before she was allowed to see all of her presents

We gave her her first two wheel bike!!! She had given her old one to Weston for his birthday and she didn't even know she was getting a new one. She LOVED it!Can you tell by her expression how much she loves it?

Of course she had to have the princess helmet to go with her princess bike!
I made her a special "4" pancake. She thought that was kind of cool. But not as cool as her Ariel umbrella!!!! She has wanted one of these for a long time. Every time we go into the store she some how would find it and say mom I want one of these...and i would say maybe for your birthday...wow was she happy! Showing off the umbrella...but she ended up breaking it so we took it back and all they had left was a princess one...which she said is ok too. She is a little more careful with it. A princess watch...her very own watch...so she can be like her cousin Hayden. And her Ariel doll who can go swimming with her in the bath...so she can be like her cousin Madalyn...man do these cousins make an impression on Kambria! This was my first attempt at making fondant. I think it might be my last. A LOT of work for something you don't really want to eat any way! But it was fun and she likes it!

6th year and running!

We celebrated our 6th anniversary in the comfort of our home this year. we ordered in Chinese and watched an movie. Bryan also surprised me with this beautiful orchid. It fits very nicely in our home! Thanks Bry!

sticker club

We had the privilege of doing a sticker club and Kambria got a few stickers in he mail... She was very happy to get her own mail...and none the less have stickers in the envelope, that were all hers!

new play kitchen

Grandma nad Grandpa gave Kambria and Weston a play kitchen for their birthdays. We had it delivered to our home from the store. They were SO excited when it showed up on our door step! They were jumping for joy...literally!

They made Dad get it out and put it together! Bryan was happy to oblige. he loves putting things together...esp when he get to use his power tools ;o)

Dragon boat festival

We have always loved going to the dragon boat festival in Colorado so we went here in Nashville. It was fun to watch for about 15 minutes...then we walked around and went home. It was too hot and not much else to do. maybe one day it will be as fun as Colorado's! But here is the proof we did it!

Chihuly at night

Not going to say much... I am behind on these posts so pictures will have to say it all. This was another activity we did with my sister Tess while she was visiting us. Chihuly is the artist. It was way fun...

splash park

Another fun activity we tried to do was water fun with Tess. We were going to go swimming this day, but the pool person that has the key was out of town...so we decided to go to the splash park. It was a VERY nice way to cool off from the HOT and HUMID weather. It was a small splash park, but we still had fun. I think Tess was into it more than anyone! She was leaping through the water! Weston liked it but he stayed out the out skirts of the water...
Kambria jumped right in! She loved it! Tess joined right in!

nonie and papa's bday presents

So while Tess was here she brought Nonie's and papa's birthday presents with her. So we went to the mall and had dinner and gave the kids their presents. Each got a card....

And a their presents were a roll of quarters to buy what they wanted! They were both SO excited to have their own money!!!

Can you see the excitement?!

one of the first things they wanted to do with their money was ride some of the kiddie rides in the mall. I NEVER pay the money but just let them sit on it. This time they actually got to ride them!
Weston's face show the pure enjoyment of childhood!
The next stop they made was at the candy store. They had a lot of fun picking out candy and paying for it with their OWN money.

Here is their "goodies!"
Thanks Nonie and papa for a wonderful gift! We have had so much fun!

Tessy came to town

my sister Tess came to visit us. It just so happened that it was the HOTTEST week of the entire year!!!! So we tried to find things to do inside and only a couple of things outside. She helped celebrate both Weston's and Kambria's birthdays and helped with the kids A LOT!!! We were so glad that she came to visit us and play! Now she can add Nashville on her list of places she has been!

Here Tess is helping the kids help make a salad. The kids loved having her help them! one of the first days here we went to the Parthenon and city park. It was fun to have Tess see things here with us.

We also went to the Belle Meade plantation! This is Kambria and Tess at the photo opp!

Thanks for coming to visit Tess. We already miss you!
