Christmas Eve pictures 20009

We spent Christmas Eve at Eliza's parents house. it was fun to have everyone there. The night started out with a yummy dinner...that I did not get any pictures of.

Throughout the night games were played to try and entertain the kids. This one was composed of flipping frogs into the bucket.

This one is elefun. Tess had fun with this too! ;o)We then did Luke 2. Kambria was Mary. Hayden was Joseph.Weston was not too cooperative...so he was the "sheep."Chloe was an angel...

Ella was an angel too but did not care to wear the costume. Then came the Christmas songs. Bryan was at the piano...this is one reason I married him! I LOVE when he plays the piano. And everyone joining in to sing...even the kids joined in...trying to play the piano.

This was Nonnie's gift to the grand kids...play tents. So she gave one to Leah's kids and one to my kids. Kambria and Weston LOVE theirs. They play in it ALL the timeHere is Hayden trying to play the trumpet ornament. Tess tried too and actually could get a pretty good noise out of it...That is what a trumpet player can do.This is my gift to my mother. i made her an apron. I thought it turned out pretty good!!!Brady teaching Bryan how to do cat's cradle. Don't know if they ever truly were successful in the teaching!Hayden and Weston got bomber jackets from Nonnie and Papa...cuties!!!And the girls all got matching jackets/pant outfits. They were so cute to be all matching! This was our Christmas eve festivities!

now the wait

Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers on my brothers behalf. He is set to have surgery on Jan 5th. It will be from 9am-3pm...or more it that is what it takes. It will be a stressful day for all of us!

He has what is called glioma. Not much is know about how all the surgery will go down, recovery or radiation and chemo...but we are doing ok. My brother is handling it well so far...he is a trooper. I want him, and everyone I know, to know how much I love him and treasure our relationship as friends as well as brother and sister. He means the world to me. Even though we have not been able to do things together as of recently due to living in different states, I do remember all, and I mean ALL the times we have had together. It makes me giggle just thinking about the "words" he makes up and the game night we spent laughing!

I love him so much. I do not know how this will all turn out, but I do know that we have a Heavenly Father who knows how it will turn out and he is watching over my brother and our family. We have already seen so many examples of this in just the short time since we found out.

I am sorry other things will have to be put on hold...like updating this blog as much as I would like. I will try to get christmas put up as soon as I can go through the loads of pictures I/ Bryan took! Thanks for understanding!

not much fun

I don't have much energy to say this...but it needs to be said.

My brother Brady has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has an appoinment this morning and I will upate as we get updates.

All I can ask is for my friends and extended family that don't know yet, to please say a prayer for him and our family. This is really a struggle for me right now and I need some support. Thanks in advance.

Temple Square lights

We had the opportunity to see the lights on temple sqaure the last night we were in Utah and had a blast. We enjoyed seeing the lights and the temple all lit up. We even saw the famous red tree. We took the kids into the old tabernacle. They had fun with the echo! What hams!

random pictures

When Weston wakes up in the morning, he decides that he is going to get his own breakfast. This is him with his lucky charms cereal dumped on the table so he can pick out the marshmallows. Kambria decided to help him eat them this time...and this time at least he was sitting at a table instead of dumping them all over the floor like he has so many times before!

This pictures speaks thousands of words! Look at the expression on Kambria's face!
This is Kambria after she woke up from her nap. She LOVES her dolls and bags! And what a hairdo!

Happy Weston! The kiddos with dad on a Saturday morning. What Weston would look like with glasses! So handsome! He looks VERY stylish!
And smart!

Snow fun

We have already had some fun times in the snow. Our first snow storm was on October 10th and since then we have made some good snow angels and used our sled a couple of times. Weston is getting better at enjoying the cold "stuff" and not crying as much! But Kambria sure loves to be outside and playing in it! Bryan has even be able to join us a couple of times!

I included this one because of its artistic elements! just a fun picture!

Fairbanks' family pictures

I LOVE looking at pictures. I LOVE taking pictures. But I especially love having family pictures taken. I think they are fun to look at and display in my home. So we had Bryan's cousin take our family pictures. I thought they turned out good. Of course you always look at yourself and think...well its okay. That is how I felt with some...but these aren't bad:

This one is the favorite........not biased at all though. So this will be our family picture for this year!

And of course this one is the one that will be properly displayed in my house!
